TruGuard didn’t start with a product idea.
It started with a problem that hadn’t been solved.
One of our founders, Ruben Clinton, took a serious impact during training.
The guard did what it was designed to do — it stayed intact. But the force still went through his body.
Ruben partnered with Elliot Santner, an engineer and longtime friend, and together we began building something different. Not a variation. Not a “better” version of what already existed. A rethink.
What followed wasn’t quick. It was two years of iteration, testing, and refinement — on real players, facing real pace. Learning what worked, what didn’t, and where traditional protection was quietly failing.
The result is the Aero Truguard
Not built in a boardroom.
Not pulled from a catalogue.
Built from first principles, shaped by experience, and tested where it matters.
When we brought the concept to Aero, the alignment was immediate. A shared belief that protection shouldn’t just resist impact… it should manage it!
We didn’t build a harder box, we built a smarter one.
